Coaching my own son is getting awkward now he's older

I've always tried to treat him the same as everyone else, probably harder if anything, but at U16 he is much more aware of what I say in front of his mates. He told me this week that I correct him more because I'm his dad. I can see why it feels that way from his side. For parents who also coach, what boundaries have actually helped as the players get older?
