Simple rules to keep The Coaches' Room a helpful, respectful place for the football community.
COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS
- • Be respectful of other members and their perspectives.
- • Discuss ideas rather than attacking people.
- • No abusive language or offensive content.
- • No discrimination of any kind.
- • No harassment or personal attacks.
- • No spam or repeated posting.
- • No advertising without permission.
- • No sharing private or personal information.
- • Do not identify children unnecessarily.
- • Do not publish safeguarding-sensitive information publicly.
- • Keep discussions relevant to football and football environments.
18+ & CHILD SAFETY RULES
- • Accounts and participation in The Coaches' Room are for adults aged 18 or over.
- • Children may browse publicly available content, but cannot create accounts or participate.
- • Questions may relate to children and youth football, but must be submitted by an adult account holder.
- • Do not share unnecessary identifying information about children (full names, contact details, home address, school).
- • Do not use The Coaches' Room to seek direct or private contact between a Verified Coach and a child.
- • Do not post children's personal contact information.
- • Existing safeguarding escalation rules remain unchanged — if a safeguarding concern relates to immediate safety, contact the relevant authorities directly.
YOUR USERNAME IS YOUR PUBLIC COMMUNITY IDENTITY
Questions and community replies are posted under your username.
- • Keep your personal information private and do not post somebody else's private information.
- • Your real name, email address and contact details are not shown publicly.
- • Respectful discussion is expected.
CHILD SAFETY
Please do not identify individual children in questions or replies.
Avoid sharing:
- Children's full names
- Personal contact details
- Home addresses
- School details
- Any unnecessary identifying information
If a safeguarding concern relates to immediate safety, The Coaches' Room is not a replacement for appropriate safeguarding procedures or emergency services. Please contact the relevant authorities directly.
OUR APPROACH
The Coaches' Room team reviews all questions before they are published. We may edit, mask or remove content that doesn't meet these guidelines. Repeated or serious breaches may result in account restrictions, suspension or a permanent ban.
If you see content that breaks these guidelines, please use the Report button. Reports are confidential and reviewed by our team.
If another member's behaviour makes you uncomfortable, you can report their content and block the member from your account.
