When I play advantage, should I explain it straight away?

I referee mainly U13-U16. Sometimes I signal advantage and the player who was fouled immediately looks at me as if I've missed it. A quick 'seen it, play on' usually settles things, but occasionally that turns into players wanting an explanation while the ball is still live. How much communication is helpful in that moment without distracting from the next phase?
