Adult players arriving late because of work — where do you draw the line?

We have a few players who genuinely can't always get away from work on time. I understand that, but it means the same people sometimes miss the start of the warm-up and still expect to start. At adult level, how do you keep standards without pretending everyone has a completely flexible job?
