How much medical information should travel with the team?

I’d want the relevant information available, secure and easy to access — not a paper folder left open in the kit bag. For away days, the appropriate team adults should be able to contact parents/carers and know about medical information that could matter in an emergency. That does not mean every volunteer needs a copy of every child’s health details. The club should decide what information is necessary, who can access it and how it is stored. A secure club system is better than coaches keeping separate screenshots or spreadsheets on personal phones. I would also make sure the information is current. An emergency number from two seasons ago is not much help. The principle I’d use is minimum necessary information, available to the right adult when needed. Medical data is sensitive, so convenience should not become an excuse for carrying or sharing more than the team genuinely needs.
