Do you bother with corners at U8?

We basically just put it in and play. Am I overthinking not having any sort of corner idea?

I would not spend much time on corners at U8. Give them one or two simple choices: play it short if a teammate is free, or put the ball into an area where someone can attack it. Then get back to playing football. What I would avoid is rehearsing movements and positions for ten minutes so the adults can enjoy a tidy routine on Saturday. If corners keep causing the same problem — for example everyone standing beside the goalkeeper — then use that as a quick learning moment about creating space. At this age the restart is useful because it gives them another decision. I would rather they learn to look and choose than remember “run one, run two, pass here” every time the ball goes out.
